Flankbook Relaunched, BronyNet Updated

Flankbook and BronyNet

Since almost everypony likes social networking sites it was a given that the talented Brony fandom would produce some of their own, and indeed it has no shortage of them. If I recall correctly Flankbook was one of the original websites created for this purpose, although after a couple months it was shut down for various reasons. In the meantime several other fairly prominent websites have arisen such as the RainbowDash NetworkBronyNetBronySquare and Cloudsdale (the latter of which is more of an instant messaging client and also features mobile apps), but Flankbook's developers talked of remaking their website and launching it again for the world to use. Their minimalistic, Boostrap-based website entered open beta today, with more features on the way shortly.

On a related note, rival website BronyNet has recently released a massive update to their custom NewsTime software, which means that it now features realtime updating, profile headers and other fancy stuff like that. It currently offers a lot more than Flankbook and has a less-cluttered interface than BronySquare, but since the former is still in open beta things could change quickly. We also have a BronyNet page at http://bronynet.com/main.php#!/profile-3175, in case you are interested in following us over there for site updates and whatnot.

PonyPlace

Is it a game? Well, you can move ponies around on the screen - good enough for me. PonyPlace is a simple yet elegant idea - a 2d pony chatroom with a wide variety of swappable avatars derived from the Desktop Ponies sprites. There were plenty of people online both times I logged on, although the project's still pretty basic - ideally, we'll see some more features in the future. Go check it out!

Update: Issue resolved, ponyplace is up and running again.

Rise of the Lunarbolts Trailer #6

Looks like there is another Rise of the Lunarbolts update video for y'all to enjoy. Hope you find it interesting!

Oh, and sorry for the lack of updates lately. We've just been so busy adding tons of games to the Arcade lately that we've kind of fallen behind, although hopefully that should soon change. And in case  any of you fellers are PonySquare users you'll be happy to know that we have a PonySquare page up at http://ponysquare.com/equestriagaming/

We're on BronyNet!

There are so many Brony-centered social networks out there that it's getting hard to keep track of 'em all. RainbowDash NetworkCloudsdalePonySquare (I don't recommend PonySquare for various reasons), and BronyNet are some of the more popular MLP social networks, and on most of those sites we have a profile that you can follow in case you're interested.

For all of our readers that also use BronyNet: today is your lucky day! We have just added an Equestria Gaming profile to the site, where we will post news, new Arcade games and more stuff like that. We can be found under the "RP" profiles page, or in case you want a direct link to our profile you can visit http://bronynet.com/main.php#!/profile-3175.

Pinkie's Hyperactive Chat

Or on the Equestria Gaming Arcade

Fan MMOs are sort of a rarity, especially when they are released in quick succession. It wasn't too long ago that MLP:Online was released, and even then it was just the single player mode. And all of a sudden out of the blue pops a brand spanking-new pony MMO that nopony has ever heard of and takes the crown for the first playable MLP MMO (and one of the first ever HTML5 MMO games). Mind you it's still in an early alpha state and doesn't have all the features of the final product (it lacks different hairstyles and races), but it's still quite worth playing already.

Why not give it a try, eh?

Pony Room Open Beta

A little over two months ago we posted about a rather interesting project that was intended to function as both a chat program and a multiplayer deathmatch game. Back then the guy was wanting developers and just released a video of Pony Room, but now he's released the game as an open beta for you guys to fiddle around with. At the moment it's pretty limited and has some humorous issues (falling off the map anypony?), but I am of the opinion that it might just be worth checking out. After all the guy really could use some feedback, eh?

New Cloudsdale Revision

Cloudsdale
Our partners over at Cloudsdale, an up-and coming brony social network, recently released a major revision to their site, which has now left beta and is open for everybody to use. From what I've experienced of it, Cloudsdale is a very unique network, quite different from sites like Facebook or Twitter. It's user base is growing steadily, and it's definitely worth checking out. Have some copypasta after the break.

Pony Room

A while back I was able to play an early version of a game called Pony Room, which was a fairly basic online chat-centered game made with Flash. I didn't post anything on it at the time, but now the author has put up a brief preview of the game and I no longer have any excuse to refrain from posting this.

And yes, I know it looks rather plain and boring (and frankly the preview doesn't demonstrate that much), but the creator is wanting some help with this game of his(namely testers, animators and coders). In case you're interested you can email him at serger100@gmail.com to apply.

Cloudsdale

Cloudsdale
There are a couple of brony-oriented social networks out there. I mainly use Rainbow Dash Network, and a good amount of Bronies use BronyNet. However, a new social network has popped up, and it's simply put, incredible. It's called Cloudsdale.

To find out more about this incredible social networking site, check after the break!

Equestria Gaming now has a Google+ Page!

Well, we've recently decided to get a Google+ page, that you can find at https://plus.google.com/b/104923021330270502188/104923021330270502188. It's not THAT big of a deal, but just decided I'd post anyways in case any of you guys were interested.

XTUX, out!
