ADParty Revived - ADParty (AKA pinkiedemo) reverse-engineer revival & Super Mario 64 mod by UlikDodikov

This is the fastest post I have ever made by a long shot.
ADParty, also known as pinkiedemo, is an ancient pony fan game tech-demo by awesomedreamcoder. The game was first unveiled to the world in a demonstration video very humbly titled "walk on cloud" on April 4th, 2011, almost 15 years ago — possibly older than some people reading this.
The game, made in a custom game engine, with no source code available, was considered a remnant of the past, with only 4 videos ever uploaded of it by the creator, all in 2011.
Then, this guy, UlikDodikov reverse-engineered it, making it compatible with modern hardware and operating systems, reviving the original game as it was, and even going as far as to make a full mod replacing the entire boring plains and hills map with the Peach's Castle from Mario 64.
There is really no way to elegantly transition these these two events split apart by a 14 year gap, during which most people presumed the game to simply be lost media or unplayable.
Is there much to do? Not particularly. You can play as the four ponies: Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, walking/flying around generic green hills and/or a stripped down version of Peach's Castle. There are controls listed in the keys.txt file for basic controls (press left click to run and right click to make the currently selected pony look at you — avant-garde to say the least) and other queer systems like surprisingly in-depth real time hair editing. Is it still awesome though? ABSOLUTELY!

Using ReShade to turn Legends of Equestria into a Gorgeous Game

Legends of Equestria is a great labour of the fandom which we have covered here many times before. It has certainly gotten way less attention in recent history, to the point of it being rather difficult to find players unless you join the official Discord Server or have some friends with you, but the game is still actively updated and alive to this day, even if only during events.
While the game has hours worth of content, quests, maps and unique areas which can take your days to traverse the entirety of — trust me, I have tried — it is not the most graphically stunning game. That's not any fault of the game, but it is not hard to improve it yourself using ReShade, a generic software which allows you to inject post-processing effects on your favorite games. The rest of the post will be displaying photos I have taken of the game using the shaders I've crafted. They turn the game into a stunning, serene experience.

The War Thunder Mobile "Flying is Magic" Update

Seems like they're feeling the April Fools spirit over at Gaijin! Earlier today they released the "Flying is Magic" update for War Thunder Mobile, which adds (among other things!) a variety of pegasus units into the game. Apparently this isn't the first time ponies have found their way into War Thunder, so it's nice to see them make a comeback.
If you're curious, check out the announcement video and read through the update post on the War Thunder Mobile website for more details!

Ergosphere

Ergosphere, developed by SingularMJ, is an neat 3D third-person hack n' slash/platformer, in which you are following the unicorn Horizon, a self-proclaimed researcher as she explores the ruins of an ancient civilization in search of powerful ancient artifacts.

Or at least that's what she planned to do. As she moves deeper into the ruins, she meets her eventual companion Ashes, a phoenix who serves as something of a guardian of the place. Ashes explains the history of her society -- including the existence of Trials, important events meant to test the mettle of any who rose to the challenge, and what led their civilization to ruin... having fallen at the hooves of the Trial's most celebrated and capable champion.
Tempted by greed and the promise of power by a force referred to as the Shadows, under the champion's rule the land, and most of those in it, were overrun by the evil creatures created by this force. Ashes manages to seal herself, the most powerful of the artefacts, and the spreading corruption away... until the seal unexpectedly breaks just in time for Horizon to come along. As a new Trial begins, Horizon will have to hack, slash, explore and dash her way through the ruins, collect the artifacts and (hopefully once she's done getting a good look at them!) stop the spread of the corruption once and for all.

One of the more interesting aspects of this game, next to the magically-infused combo-heavy combat system, is that large parts of the ruins are procedurally generated! A good example of it in action is actually right at the beginning of the game, which has a somewhat long platforming sequence that is completely different every time. Certainly keeps things interesting after losing all your lives!

If this sounds like it'd be up your alley, check out the game's itch.io page linked above!

Ponies Vs Changelings - Release Trailer

The changelings have invaded Ponyville in this fast-paced "Plants Vs Zombies" parody game, and the only thing that can stop them are the mane 6 and their clones! With the mane 6's attacks ranging from a zappy lazer thingie to apul, our heroines must use all of their power to destroy everything that crosses their path. Each attack is most effective under certain conditions, so you'll need to think fast and constantly place your poners to stop the onslaught of changelings in their tracks.
Download this game today to save Equestria and show the Changelings where they can stick their invasion attempts!

EQG Game Catchup Post (LITE) - Mostly Racing Edition

We have three new games and projects to share with you this week, featuring racing, racing, and Spike.

Before we begin though and, for those who are curious, we still have a big backlog of games to cover, as well as a handful of horror/creepy titles that we'll save for Halloween. We also have a ton of FNF mods that we were hoping to merge into a massive compilation post when the game's new update came out, (but the update was not released on the date given by the FNF developers, and it's already been months with no word on when that's coming out) but we may have to publish the post early!

We try to keep on top of all the games, but sometimes a project might slip through the cracks. If you've got a project you're working on, please feel free to reach out to us!
With that out of the way, let's get started!

MLP G5 LEAKED

I can't believe Hasbro still has such massive leaks slipping through after all these years; you'd think they'd learnt their lesson, but alas, here we are
MLP G5 LEAKED is the epic adventure of Sunny and her best friend, Izzy Moonbow that was leaked on Youtube by a user named SingleHoof. The game is a highly detailed and accurate simulation of a pony character living in the town of "Maretime Bay." The user has the ability to acquire stuff and things, travel to other areas (mark my words, game developer: I WILL climb those stairs),  interact with other characters, and learn the basics of friendship.
Hurry up and try the game out for yourself  --->HERE<--- before it gets taken down!
I'm also offering a $20 reward to anyone who can go up/glitch up to the town (fʸᵃʸ u game dev)

Legends of Equestria Spring Event + iOS Release!

We've had our three months of winter coolness, but Equestria is finally beginning to warm up, and spring is on its way! However, severe winds have knocked several eggs out of their nests, scattering them over the Heartlands! Fortunately, one pony has decided to help clean up this mess and is offering rewards to anyone who would help him!
But that's not all! The team has also been hard at work developing a mobile version of the game, and it's now here! Legends of Equestria can now be downloaded on you Apple device from the App Store, so be sure to check it out!
For more information, you can check out their site here

My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure

Mark your calendars for May 27, because you'll soon be able to embark on an epic adventure set in Maretime Bay, assisting the ponies in their quest to make the world a better place and "bring magic and harmony back to their community."
From what I can tell so far, this looks like it has elements of a collect-a-thon platformer and appears to be a somewhat open world. The player will most likely be able to run around in Maretime Bay's hub world, collecting stars and playing a variety of minigames, which I assume will be the stepping stones for completing the story.
Some speculate that this game is simply a re-skin of the company's recent Paw Patrol and similar games from them. If this is accurate, those games will offer us an indication of what to expect, but this does seem to be a different studio making it under the same publisher. So for the time being, we'll have to wait and see.
What are your thoughts? Is this destined to become a certified Steam library classic for you? Let us know in the comments!

Inside Dimensional Shift, the Newest and Different Pony Project!

I was recently given the opportunity to speak with one of the team members of the Dimensional Shift project and was shown some exclusive and extensive material, the most of which I am not supposed to repeat!  So, what exactly is this game about?
The game is a first-person metroidvania with a wii-like, mouse-controlled sword with a strong emphasis on narrative and character development. In the game, you play as Midnight, an alicorn who awakens in Canterlot with no knowledge of who they are or where they came from. Twilight, concerned about the implications of having yet another alicorn, takes you under her wing to keep an eye on you. One day, while working with the princess, this alien-looking armor forms around you, complete with a sword that seems to float without the need of magic. The heads-up display suddently receives a signal from an unknown place, and you and Twilight decide to check it out.
Unlike many of the other high-budget games we've shown in the past, Valiant Studios LLC is taking a very different approach to game design and is currently in pre-production, which includes everything from planning, story writing, game/mechanic design, to vfx testing. Ultimately, this allows for them to safely experiment and build the game without the major consequences of wasting a lot of money, time and resources.
From what I've seen, the gameplay is polished and very fun with a bunch of weird rooms, enemy behaviors, which all experiment with combat mechanics, powerups, physics, weapons and animations, to list a few!
If you're interested in supporting development of the game you can send a few bits their way over on Ko-fi or patreon, and if you want to learn more about the game or perhaps even join the team, you can check out their Discord server!

Phoenix 2 - Prewar

Today we've got a game from a new development team called Equgames! Phoenix 2 Prewar takes place in a troubled pre-war Equestria where you play as Strikely, an Equestrian intelligence lieutenant, as they attempt to save this retrofuturistic world. Play the role of a simple pony living in a world full with secrets, lies, and deception.
The game is still in development, having been rebuilt from the ground up roughly a year ago; as a result, there may be a few bugs, but they are minor, and the game is still fully playable. If you run into any problems, the developer encourages you to contact them by email.
Download the game here!
Also, if you understand Russian, you might want to check out some of the other games created by this team over on their blog:

Story of the Blanks 3D

Story of the Blanks is a classic short creepypasta fangame made in Adobe Flash by Donitz for a game developing contest here at Equestria Gaming over 10 years ago
ElberthDominguez's 3D interpretation of the game allows you to relive the experience in a new dimension!
The game is currently in beta, so there are some bugs, and the English translation isn't finished, but the whole game can be completed, and there are some neat secrets to discover along the way.

Silent Falleym 2: Bloodied Sign Released!

Looks like there's yet another entry in the ongoing, Silent Hill-inspired 3D survival psychological and nightmare horror series Silent Falleym, fresh from their very prolific developers!
This time, they've released a remake of one their earlier titles, Silent Falleym 2, so if you've played that game or any others from these folks before I suppose you'll know what to expect! From the description on their website:
Escaping from monsters that flooded the whole city Daisy Wallace hid in some building. On one of the boards, it is written that this is hospital Harbrake. Inside there are the dirt and blood everywhere, and soon Daisy will understand inside is no less dangerous than outside.

Silent Falleym is pony adaptation of classical Silent Hill series. It has as classical things and in same time new ones. Silent Falleym has own lore which not related to Konami's Silent Hill.
Check out their page on the game linked above for proper screenshots, system requirements, and of course, the download links. Time to get spooky!
Thanks to Jade Danrovich for the heads-up (and the correction!)

Price of Fear

Price of Fear Download page

A masterpiece of fear with finely crafted scares!
Cybernetic and biotic technologies in the year 2257 is faced with a serious challenge as a distress call the police department got from one of Unitectic Corp branches, Altreyne Tech, is interrupted after losing a special guard, and subsequently, the signal. The police head turns to Tactical Anti-paranormal Service (T.A.S.) to help investigate the cause of the loss.
In a bid to investigate the signal loss, Captain Shailey Velasquez, the head of Alpha team, initialized Operation Amicron which requires all teams to enter into Altreyne Tech from different sides and meet in the center hall. Little did he know that he's on the mission to awaken the nightmares of the past. Upon the entrance of all teams, the AI defense system blocks all main doors as well as disconnects the teams from the outside world, thereby making them trapped.
Price of Fear is a single-player nightmare horror genre game with a heavy focus on fear and horrors in the midst of an investigative mission. Players take control of a trapped team with the dual task of investigating, with no external support, the initial interruption in communication as well as uncover an escape route out of the Altreyne Tech.

Legends of Equestria Open Access Release - Date & Trailer

Well, would you look at that! After a long, long time in development, the Legends of Equestria team appears to finally be ready to fully open the game up to the public! With the drop of what they call the "Open Access Release" on August 19th, 2017, the game will (as the name suggests) be available to anyone and everyone at any time, finally putting those blink-and-you'll-miss-it limited access periods to rest. Daring Do: Origins Project Looking for Help

Daring Do: Origins is a 3D action-adventure game, set before the events of Nightmare Moon's escape and although little has been shown thus far, the game is quite ambitious. The game is said to feature frenetic platform action, stealth functions, RPG elements and multiple playable characters. However, the project currently is a one-man team, and is looking for help make this game a reality.

NIA: Path of Light Teaser Trailer Released

Despite some rather interesting developmental delays and other issues (not what you'd expect, to say the least) over the past few months, it appears that the team behind the 3D point-and-click adventure NIA: Path of Light has gotten things back on track! To that end, they've released this rather neat looking little teaser trailer for the game; while it doesn't actually show any gameplay, it's definitely interesting enough to watch and proves a nice sign of life from the project as a whole. Check it out above!
