Magic Project Friendship Final Version - Arena Mode

Magic Project Friendship — that one with the ponies and the guns, if you forgot — has received an update with the new Arena mode, taking place 2 years before the main story line and putting you in the metaphorical shoes of Bon Bon as she trains to become the leader of the new S.M.I.L.E. under Twilight's rule with her direct supervision.
Please stop looking at me like that. It gives me the feeling that you are really into this.
The story follows Bon Bon working her way up from the bottom to regain her skills as the rightful S.M.I.L.E. leader after losing them during her retirement. The gameplay consists of fighting off waves of enemies in Twilight's Combat Training Program which she stole from Morpheus from the Matrix, a pocket dimension where all enemies and fights and deaths are purely simulations. During these waves your combat skills are tested against increasingly more stacked enemies, and some familiar faces too. Inbetween waves you will go to the armoury to spend your skill points, buy new weapons and recruit ponies into your own squad.
Also the ponies have big funny hats now.

Magic Project Friendship - Trixie Kills Twilight Sparkle

Magic Project Friendship is a new mod of Madness Project Nexus. The mod released... today! This is an Equestria Gaming original!
Don't know what Madness Combat is? That maybe is for the better considering the theme of this site. Basically it's like little gray flour sack-looking ""people"" murdering eachother gruesomely... but now it is ponies.
Anyways.

The plot of the game follows Starlight Glimmer breaking Trixie out of jail after being imprisoned by Twilight for the Alicorn Amulet incident—as all good friends would do, obviously. We follow the two quirky mares safely outside Twilight's chambers where they encounter... changelings? The Mane 6 take note of this and split off to investigate, revealing that numerous of their least favorite villains are back again—despite having been reformed like 12 times before or something—and want REVENGE, WOW THAT IS SO SCARY shivers. They have learned from their previous encounters that the Elements of Harmony aren't very good at shutting up villains, so now guns will do the talking.
It is amidst this chaos that the princess herself, in-between the slaughter, feels inclined to lore-dump—EXPLAIN to us about her new project to make ponies more friendly to eachother, the titular "Magic Project Friendship", a spell which she plans to cast on every creature in and outside Equestria. Surely this won't be a major plot element which we will learn the unpleasant details of later, right. Totally and absolutely, but unfortuntaly Trixie disagrees, as she goes on to investigate on her lonesome the intricacies of this Project, because she just cares oh-oh so much about Equestria (she just wants revenge on Twilight Sparkle).

Arcade Spotlight: Spike Toss by futzi01

Looks like we've got another futzi01 game for this week's spotlight! Spike Toss is a simple little physics game in the Angry Birds/Crush the Castle mold, though it's more about gem collection than destroying things. It's fun to see just how many gems you can get in one toss! I haven't managed to fully clear a single level yet, so if any of you out there manage to 100% all of them, enjoy being the Official Equestria Gaming Spike Toss Gamer God.
Y'know, a long, long time ago, some arcade games had little author comments or summaries to go with them. Spike Toss was given the description "Be Rarity for a day and treat Spike like dirt," and in all honesty I think about that every single time I see this game and it never fails to get a chuckle out of me.

Them's Fightin Herds 1.0 Released

https://store.steampowered.com/app/574980/Thems_Fightin_Herds/
If you have been an active follower of the My Little Pony series, you'd no doubt have heard of the Fighting is Magic fangame. Prior to its discontinued development, Fighting is Magic featured a complex, combo-heavy gameplay style with "magic" attack buttons that allow for special support actions.

Them's Fightin' Herds is a refinement of Fighting is Magic with improved core gameplay mechanics. The Indie fighting game features a cast of four-legged animals (that double as champions from their individual tribes) as they continue to engage one another in other to take possession of a magical key that could be used against their predators. Each of them wants to protect their world.

What makes the game distinct from the conventional fighting game includes its refined character moveset, competitive modes, fighting styles, and different attack types. Explore the adventure of a combat game that offers a unique experience!

Horse game roundup, horse game rounduuuup~

Hey guys! Welcome to Equestria Gaming, the site where you can find all the information regarding pony fan games (eventually).  During the past two months, the fandom has been busy creating new works for you all to enjoy! Join us after the break where we'll be taking a look at new game releases and updates.

PonyAge: Chronicles Testing

Ramping up towards release, the team has come again with a socializing/hangout game: PonyAge. This, however, is the server stress test phase. The aim of this stress test is to enable the team to have a full grasp of how the game will handle a huge number of concurrent players running the site.
PonyAge is a 2D-MMORPG game that depicts an explorable seamless world where you can team up with other players to build a strong wall against external threats. You can as well acquire some resources and keep them or have them sold to other players. Prepare and prove your ability in the 1v1 tournament!
The platform is currently open and is therefore available for all gamers - wouldn't you rather enjoy a full grab of the game while it lasts? They'd be glad to have as many players as possible to stress-test the game. Of course, any features missed out at this phase would be included before the final launching.

Ponyage Chronicles, Open Weekend

Ponyage Chronicles, also known as PonyRoom as previously shown here, is holding an open weekend. It is gonna be held from now until around the 29th February.
It is a neat 2d MMO like you would imagine a proper action-oriented MMO would be, quests, skills, grinding, the whole lot. It is still in an early alpha stage, actively getting updated and fleshed out. However this weekend we all have a chance to hop in and give this different interpretation of a Pony MMO, so if you are tired of the usual social-focused pony MMOs and MMO-styled games, like Legends of Equestria and Pony Town, come give this a go.
